Description
15 High Street is a terraced house that stands three storeys tall and features three bays, along with an additional throughway on the right side. The house has a slate roof with deep bracketed eaves, although many of the brackets are missing. The facade is painted roughcast, with a stucco plinth and surrounds around the openings.
On the upper level, there are three square windows, which are either boarded up or fitted with 20th-century glazing, and their surrounds have shoulders and heels. The first floor includes two long, four-pane horned sash windows with vermiculated keystones, all set within similar surrounds; the middle sash has been removed but is depicted in a photograph from 1926. There is another similar sash window on the ground floor to the left. The ground floor right window is wider and has two fixed panes from the 20th century, indicating it was formerly a shop window. The central entrance features a recessed six-panel door with a plain overlight above it. Both the shop window and the door are topped with a cornice that is supported by four console brackets.
To the right, there is a wide arched doorway leading to the throughway, which has a recessed 20th-century door, and the date "1823" is scratched into the stucco above this doorway.
