Description

Commerce House is a 19th-century terrace house that stands three storeys tall and features two bays. It has a slate gabled roof with a red brick chimney stack on the left, which appears to be shared with the adjacent No. 13. The house has deep, bracketed eaves and a painted roughcast facade, along with a plinth. The upper floors have horned sash windows with marginal glazing, while the second floor has smaller windows. A cornice with brackets is located above the ground floor, which includes a recessed six-panel door with a plain rectangular overlight to the right and a tall window with three fixed panes to the left. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted that the former shop is said to have had a timber chimneypiece of late Georgian design.
