Description
Neuadd Llangathen is a village hall built in the Tudor-Gothic style. It features a main gabled range with a steeply pitched roof and shorter turrets that project forward at each end. Behind these turrets are hipped lean-tos against the gable end of the main range. The walls are rendered in a black-and-white style, and the roof is covered with slate.
The front of the building has three 2-light bay windows, with the outer windows situated under outshut roofs, while the inner window is topped with a hipped roof beneath a central gable. Above the transoms of the windows is coloured glass. Between the windows, there are two boarded doors with strap hinges. The outer turrets feature 4-light small-pane windows on the upper storey, which are topped with pyramidal roofs that have iron finials. The left-hand turret has a foundation stone at plinth level.
On the left side, the lean-to behind the turret includes a central boarded door flanked by 3-light small-pane windows. The rear of the building has bay windows and a central gable that mirrors the front. Inside, the main range boasts a 5-bay arched-brace roof.
