Description
The Boxing Room at the former Kidwelly Tinplate Works is a single-storey building constructed of red brick with a slate roof. It features a long range with three small-paned windows on the west side, which have cast-iron lintels. The glazing is from the late 20th century, and the window openings were originally loading doors. At both ends of the building, there are arched openings; one leads into the Assorting Room, while the other is located in the whitewashed south end gable, which used to be an internal wall with an additional store-room beyond. There is a window to the right of the arch and a blocked opening above the arch that has been partly altered by the arch.
Inside, the space is broad and supported by seven massive roof trusses, which include tie-beams and collars with queen-posts and angle struts. However, the principal rafters do not extend beyond the collars. The floor is made of brick.
