Description

The retaining wall located to the southeast of County Hall is a curving structure made of mixed coloured stone. This contrasts with the mid-20th century and later surrounding retaining walls, which are constructed from rock-faced grey limestone. There is a small section of rougher walling that may be part of a medieval wall, which has been outlined in a 19th century or later reconstruction.
