Description
The barn range at Brynteg is a 19th-century structure built from rubble with squared quoins. It features a slate roof and slated barges. On the right side, there is a high door with a cambered stone voussoired head and paired planked doors, with a stable-type door to the left that has a dividing post. To the left, there are two cart arches with elliptical stone voussoired heads. The barn has a low plinth and a cobbled area in front of the barn door. The left end includes a flight of stone steps leading to a loft door, which also has a cambered stone voussoired head and a planked door. There is a long loop on the right gable. The rear of the barn features a 20th-century brick lean-to on the left, which conceals the back of the barn and includes a loop at the extreme left. To the right, there is a low barn door that corresponds to the front door, also with a stone voussoired cambered head. Additionally, there are two upper two-light 6-pane casements to the right, with heads similar to the other doors, and a loop below each window.
