Description
Alleston is a house constructed with painted stucco and features a hipped, deep-eaved roof with a central brick axial chimney that was rebuilt in the 20th century. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range, showcasing broad 16-pane hornless sash windows and a central door. The flat eaves soffits and overhanging gables are adorned with fretted bargeboards and finials above the upper windows. The entrance consists of a six-panel door with flush panels, two of which are glazed, set within a mid-19th century timber doorcase that includes panelled piers, a frieze that breaks forward over the piers, a cornice, and a curved tent top, resembling the doors of nos 5-6 Westgate Hill.
On the right end wall, there are windows positioned on the right side, with a 4-pane window above and a 16-pane window below. The left side of the house features an added projecting gable to the right, which also has fretted bargeboards on the overhanging verges, and paired 6-pane sashes on each floor. To the left, there is a bay with a 4-pane sash above a 16-pane sash, similar to the other end wall, along with small windows on the left in the end wall of the rear outshut.
The interior has not been fully inspected, but it includes an inner half-glazed door with coloured glass margins and a fanlight.
