Description
The former mill at New Mill is a two-storey building constructed from rubble stone, with some traces of whitewash and a slate close-eaved roof. The front features two 12-pane sash windows located under the eaves, while the ground floor has remnants of 12-pane sashes in windows, with cambered brick heads at both the extreme left and right. There is a door with a similar brick head positioned left of centre, and the ground floor openings do not align with those above. On the right end wall, near the back of the farmhouse, there is a ground floor window with a brick head. The rear of the building is built into a bank, featuring a first floor window on each side of the door, both with heads under the eaves; the left window retains a 12-pane sash. There is a boarded stable-type door and a brick-headed basement opening to the left. The left corner has sandstone corner stones. The mill wheel has been removed, and all interior machinery is also gone.
