Description
Farm Court at Granston Hall is an early to mid 19th century three-sided farm court constructed from rubble stone, topped with asbestos sheet roofs that are hipped at the southwest and northwest angles and the southeast end. The central range features two doors with stone voussoir heads and a narrow paired window under the eaves to the right, above a vent loop. To the left, there are two vent loops and a full-height opening leading to the southern range. The rear side has three similar paired windows under the eaves to the left, above two vent loops, with barn doors in the center that have a renewed timber lintel, and two paired windows to the right above a low blocked door. There is a high door further to the right, along with a vent loop beyond.
The long southern range consists of two builds, with the eastern end slightly canted. The rear wall is built into a roadside bank.
The northern range has four openings with stone voussoirs, arranged as a window, window, door, and window. There are two vent loops under the eaves above the door, and a 20th-century opening in the eastern end gable. The rear right side features two small paired windows under the eaves, leading into the northern end of the western range, and a broad opening below.
