Description

This milepost, located near Lower Llantydwell, is made of two cast-iron plates with pointed tops. The plates are positioned at a right angle to each other and are attached to a solid backing, but they are not connected to one another.

The plate facing west indicates a distance of '17 miles 760 yards to Carmarthen', while the east-facing plate shows '4 miles to Narberth'. Both plates feature the inscription 'Marychurch Foundry' in smaller letters at the bottom. This milepost is the second one on the Tavernspite turnpike.
