Description

Crunwere House is a house dating from the 18th century, with a square plan and entered through the centre of the east side. The south facade displays symmetry. The walls are rendered and painted white, topped by a pyramidal roof covered in thick slates with tiled hips, and eaves that overhang with simple soffits. Rendered chimneys are located on the east and west walls. Most of the windows are hornless sash windows with thin glazing bars; the upper windows have 12 panes and the lower ones have 16 panes, with a stair landing window on the west elevation containing 15 panes.

The east front features two windows. A small, later porch to the south has a pointed, boarded door with Gothic hinges. The wall behind the porch is noticeably thinner, indicating the former presence of a fanlight. The south front is arranged with three windows above and two below the central, blank position. A small extension to the west has casement windows with arched glazing bars giving them a pointed appearance.

The original layout remains, featuring a hallway leading to the staircase on the west side.
