Description

Ivy Tower Mansion is a 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall with five windows on its northern facade. The side elevations feature three windows each. The structure is made of rendered and painted rubble masonry set on an ashlar plinth, topped with a low-pitch slated hipped roof that is concealed behind a cornice and parapet. The upper storey features twelve-pane windows with hornless sashes, while the ground floor has French windows in the main section. A prominent entrance porch at the centre is supported by two pairs of Tuscan columns and pilasters at the back, although the original doors have been lost.

Currently, Ivy Tower Mansion serves as the headquarters for Manor House Wildlife and Leisure Park. A new wing containing offices and toilets has been added to the west side of the building.

Inside, the central hall features an archway leading to the stairs at the rear. The staircase includes a half-landing and a swept handrail that coils at the bottom. A round-headed sash window with interlaced glazing bars illuminates the landing. To the left, the former dining room and gun room, as described in 1922, have been combined into a single room. To the right, the former library and dining room have also been merged into one room. The rear reception room on the right, which was once the dining room, boasts a simple marble fireplace and an ornamental plaster ceiling surround.
