Description
No 2 Olive Buildings is a terraced house, the central one of a row of three, built in the 19th century. This three-storey house features a roughcast unpainted front with three bays and nogged brick eaves. The top floor has square 9-pane sash windows, while the other two floors have 12-pane sash windows, with the ground floor windows being larger. The windows are set on thin slate sills.
There is a flight of five slate steps leading up to a central arched doorway, which is framed by an open-pedimented doorcase supported by thin columns and topped with entablature blocks. The door has panelled reveals that match the six-panel door and a plain fanlight above. The railings flanking the steps and front area feature fleur-de-lys finials. Access to the basement is provided by steps descending from the left side of the house.
