Description
1 Pen-Porth is a pair of estate cottages built in the late 19th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble stone and feature a slate eaves roof with a central red brick chimney stack. The cottages are two stories tall and are designed as mirrored pairs. Each cottage has small-paned casements with cambered heads; there are outer paired casements and inner triple casements below a first-floor paired casement set in a gabled dormer that extends through the eaves. The windows have slate sills and the stone voussoirs above the window heads alternate in color. The gable ends of the cottages also feature a first-floor pair of similar casements. At the rear, there is an outshut with a door for each cottage, flanked by windows.
