Description
The front and side garden wall and gatepiers of The Arch Deaconry date from the early 19th century. This garden wall is constructed of rubble stone and features stone coping that curves inward at the center, leading to two square gatepiers made of rubble stone topped with ogee domed stone caps. There is a small wooden gate between the gatepiers. The wall curves inward again at the northeast end, directing towards Brecon House. At the southwest angle, the wall returns northwards and includes an inset post box from the reign of Edward VIII. It continues past the pair of gatepiers to a side entry, extending as far as the entrance to the coach house yard.
