Description
The outbuildings to the northeast of Penfiedir are an L-plan range constructed from rubble stone and topped with slate roofs. Originally single-storey, the southern end has been raised to two storeys. The southern end features four boarded loft openings with cambered heads and stone voussoirs above. On the ground floor, there is a finely cut, arched carriage entry to the left, framed by a stone arch and rebated jambs. A plaque on the building indicates that it was erected by George Lloyd in 1811. The doors in the center and to the right also have cambered heads, voussoirs, and keystones.
To the left, there is a single-storey range that includes, from right to left, a 20th-century metal window with a timber lintel, a door with stone voussoirs and a keystone, although the doorway has been altered below. There is another doorway with stone voussoirs and a keystone, followed by a return of the range that includes one similar doorway. The western end has been altered in the 20th century with concrete block additions.
