Description

Bronmor is a 19th-century building constructed from squared Pwntan sandstone, featuring solid slate flush lintels and sills. The gables are tile-hung with plain bargeboards, and the roof is designed to imitate slate, supported by two stone corniced ridge stacks. The building has one and a half storeys and a rectangular plan, with the roof sweeping down on the east side over a three-bay verandah. This verandah is supported by timber posts with rails between and features lattice timbering at both ends. It extends for two-thirds of the east front.

On the left side of the verandah is a small larder window, followed by a small stair light, a door, and a three-light timber mullion and transom window leading into the drawing-room. The north gable end has two similar three-light windows on the ground floor for the drawing-room and dining-room, and two additional three-light windows on the first floor without top-lights. The south end features two three-light windows on both the ground and first floors, with the ground floor windows serving the kitchen and scullery. A heavy stone sill band, which steps up under the south end windows, extends along the east side, interrupted for the door, and continues beyond and around the north end as a true sill band.

On the west side, there is a ground floor four-light French window to the left, leading into a 20th-century conservatory, followed by a small parallel single-storey range of outhouses that screen a narrow court open to the south, with a door leading to the kitchen. The east side roof features a picturesque half-timbered dormer with four-light leaded casements and deeply overhung bargeboards.

The plan, as illustrated in 1889, includes an entrance stair-hall with a single flight of stairs, two main rooms facing the sea, and a kitchen and scullery facing the road.
