Description
The churchyard of St Michael features six large memorials made of Pwntan sandstone, dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. The memorials are set on a slope that rises from south to north and each has front and rear plaque recesses. They generally have shouldered and arched designs, with heavy stone frames and arched tops made of voussoirs.
- To the west-northwest of the porch is a memorial for Griffith Jenkins of Dyffryn Bern, who died in 1787, with a rear plaque for Sarah Jenkins, who died in 1799.
- At the northwest edge of the churchyard is a memorial for David Lewis of Morfa Uchaf, who died in 1776.
- Approximately 10 meters southeast is a memorial for David Davies of Cwmcoednerth, who died in 1829.
- Near the southeast corner of the nave is a memorial for Griffith Rice of Blaenhoffnant, who died in 1770.
- South of the nave is a memorial for Benjamin Thomas of Penpompren, who died in 1787.
- By the southwest angle of the nave is a memorial for Rachel John of Gilfach, who died in 1788.
