Description

Lisburne House is a two-storey storehouse range built in the 18th century. It is a long whitewashed rubble stone building with a close-eaved slate roof, set into a bank at the rear. The front features four large 16-pane windows on the first floor, which were renewed in the 20th century. Of these, only the outer panes on the top tier of the two windows on the left open, while the other two windows have the entire top tier that opens. The windows are framed with stone voussoirs and slate sills.

On the ground floor, there are two large arched openings with slightly pointed tops, also featuring stone voussoirs. Between these openings are three small square windows with slab lintels and no sills. The arched openings are positioned between each pair of upper windows, and the blocked square windows alternate with them. The ground floor also has modern boarded sliding doors.

The right gable end of the building is rendered and has a large window on the first floor. The left gable has a very small square window above a 16-pane window, with a later small window to the right and steps leading up. The rear of the building has openings only at the upper level and features two large rectangular stone chimneys. There is a doorway at the right end, a 16-pane window to the left, and to the left of this, a modern flat-roofed extension. The building is not available for inspection.
