Description

Mount Pleasant is a house that likely dates from the mid to late 18th century. The exterior is constructed of brick and features a slate roof with gable end stacks. It has two storeys and a three-window range with a central entrance. The entrance includes a panelled door topped with a shallow hood supported by brackets. The flanking windows are made of iron with mullions and transoms, containing small panes and steep cambered brick heads. The upper floor and the rear elevation also have similar windows, with the rear featuring a tall central stair window. This house is a largely unaltered example of a small 18th-century residence of some quality.
