Description

Bridge 115 over the Montgomeryshire Canal is a structure built between 1794 and 1797, designed by engineers John and Thomas Dadford. It is part of the original engineering work of the canal, with some later repair work.

The bridge is constructed of brick and features stone copings on the parapet. It has a single arched span with slightly curving abutments that end in simple piers. The arch is made of voussoirs and includes an advanced brick keystone.

This bridge is included as part of the original engineering of the Montgomeryshire Canal and is also part of a group of canal-related structures at Buttington Wharf.
