Description
Buttington Vicarage is a building constructed from Breidden dolerite with squared flush quoins, topped by a slate roof. It is two storeys high and has a square double pile plan, featuring a central stair hall that leads from the entrance on the east side. The entrance includes double part-glazed doors set within an unmoulded doorcase. There is a single central 16-pane sash window with a flat stone lintel and a slightly raised keystone, along with additional 16-pane sash windows that have similar keyed lintels. The building has been fitted with rebuilt square brick stacks.
At the rear, there is a two-storey brick service extension with a pyramidal slate roof, which includes 3 and 6-pane sash windows, added between 1867 and 1868. Inside, the vicarage retains a staircase featuring a wreathed handrail.
Adjacent to the vicarage is a single-storey washhouse with a gable stack, as well as a later 19th-century carriage house and stable made of red brick. The carriage arch features recessed orders of blue brick, and there are two doors with shutters leading to a loft above.
