Description
The barn located at the rear of the farm court at Aberduhonw is a timber-framed structure, featuring 20th-century weatherboard cladding and a slate roof. It has a full-height central opening on each side.
Inside, the barn has a five-bay layout supported by oak tie-beam trusses with angle struts and oak purlins. The threshing floor is made of stone flags. There are raking struts at the angles of the walls and two surviving angle braces beneath the tie-beams. Each side of the threshing floor has a low wall constructed of stone slabs topped with oak coping. Vertical posts extend up to the second and third trusses, with raking struts descending from the rear doorposts. Originally, there were vertical posts reaching up to the undersides of the first and fourth trusses, but the posts under the first truss have been removed.
