Description

Ty Efyrnwy, formerly a vicarage, is a two-storey house built from axe-dressed uncoursed local masonry, featuring a slight plinth and larger selected quoins. The roofs are slated with tile ridges and hips. The front of the house faces south and is arranged in a square shape with four ranges, although the east range is slightly advanced at the front and considerably at the rear. A modern rendered lean-to porch with a room above is located at the rear, in the angle between the north range and the east range. There are stone mid-chimney stacks centrally positioned on the east and west ranges.

The front facade presents a symmetrical three-window arrangement, with a modern central semi-glazed door topped by a rectangular overlight. The ground floor features tripartite windows with 12-pane sash windows flanked by narrower lights with margin glazing, all under segmental arched heads and with stone sills. A cellar window is located on the right side, complete with a small area and grille. On the upper floor, there are three 12-pane sash windows, two of which are hornless.

On the left (west) side, there are three 12-pane sash windows, while the right (east) side has one similar window above, two four-pane sash windows, and one tripartite window below. At the rear (north), there is one similar window.

Connected to the house by a low service wing is a coach house constructed from similar stone. It has a span roof in slate with a tile ridge and runs east to west, featuring an attic loft with a gable window.

The interior has a symmetrical plan with a hallway that contains the stairs, and reception rooms located at the front. A servants' staircase is situated at the rear near the kitchen, and there is a cellar on the right side. The coach house range includes a groom's lodge in the loft.
