Description

The agricultural range at Pen-y-bryn Farm is a collection of farm buildings that extends east to west and faces north towards the farmyard. On the right side, closest to the farmhouse and situated on the highest ground, there is a stable constructed from axe-dressed uncoursed masonry, featuring a corrugated steel roof, a heck door, and two windows, all with segmental arched heads.

The main section of the range, located to the left, has a timber-boarded front set on a stone plinth, topped with a slate roof that has a tile ridge. The right part of this section is filled in with stonework and includes four heck doors and hatches leading to the loft.

On the left side of the range, there is a lofted open-fronted cartshed with a granary above, which has vertical boarding and a central hatch. The interior is multi-purpose, accommodating stables at one end, cow housing and storage, as well as the granary and cartshed at the lower end.
