Description

The Northern Lime-Kiln at Garthmyl was likely established around 1815 but was out of use by 1859. It consists of a bank of four lime kilns, featuring brick arched drawing hole vaults set into retaining walls made of rough rubble. These kilns were built against the bank of the canal, although the charging holes are no longer visible.
