Description
The Old School, located next to Llandysilio Churchyard, is a single-storey building constructed from rubble stone with squared quoins and a slate roof. It features two brick ridge stacks. A notable architectural element is a three-light stone lancet window from 1834, originally from the church, located in the east gable. This window has modern glazing, except for the leaded panes in the top sections. Additionally, there are two stone windows that were reset from the old church in 1868: one on the front right, which is a three-light mullion window with rounded heads, and another at the rear, which is a two-light window with cusped and quatrefoil tracery. The other windows and the front door are modern, and there are two blocked doors with timber lintels on the rear right side.
Inside, the building retains partly boxed-in trusses from the former open school room, along with two inserted brick fireplaces.
