Description
The outbuildings adjoining the Post Office date from the mid to late 19th century. They are two storeys high, constructed of coursed rubble stone with a slate roof and feature a tall brick stack at the rear. The front elevation includes a six-panel door and four timber casement windows, which are positioned under cambered brick heads to the left of centre.
There is also a 19th-century stable and trap-house range that shares a continuous roof with the main building. The stable end is finished in painted coursed rubble, while the loft above the trap-house entry is weatherboarded. The boarded doors are set under flat stone arches, and a pulley wheel remains in place above the stable loft door. Additionally, the gable end has a weatherboarded lean-to extension.
