Description
Pen-y-Clawdd is a long, single pile one-and-a-half storey building featuring a central gabled rear wing. The front elevation displays two gables to the left of the centre and an asymmetrically-placed enclosed gabled porch. The structure is constructed of rendered rubble stone and has slate roofs, with a brick ridge stack located to the right of centre. It includes modern casement windows and doors.
The building retains its period character, featuring chamfered and stopped beams throughout. An enormous central stack, likely added to an earlier hall house, has back-to-back fireplaces. The pantry in the rear wing has an unglazed chamfered wood mullion window. The first floor and roof spaces have not been inspected.
