Description
Nos 1-7 Ashfield Terrace is a mid-19th century terraced row consisting of three pairs of houses and one double-fronted house at the eastern end. The buildings are two storeys high, constructed from rubble stone with a brick front. They feature saw-tooth eaves and a slate roof, with gable end stacks and three ridge stacks, all made of brick and adorned with decorative bands. Each house has a single window, all of which are small-paned sashes with painted flat-arch stone heads and painted cills. The doorways have plain pilaster doorcases with flush-panelled doors and shallow leaded canopies. The double-fronted house on the right has modern replacement windows and a door. The rear elevation displays narrower small-paned sashes beneath brick cambered heads and includes roof lights. Additionally, there are three pairs of attached single-storey brick gabled outhouses with end stacks.
