Description
Bethel Calvinistic Methodist Chapel is a chapel constructed with whitewashed render and a slate eaves roof. The long wall facade features a central door in an added porch, flanked by long arched windows. A plaque on the left gable end reads 'Bethel Capel Trefnyddion Calfinaidd ...1865'. The windows are small-paned sashes with intersecting tracery in their heads, and they have painted stone sills. The porch includes fretted bargeboards, a boarded door, and an overlight. There are two similar windows in the left end wall, along with a date plaque in the gable. The rear of the chapel is whitewashed rubble, featuring two cambered-headed 12-pane sashes with stone voussoirs. To the right of the front, there is an added lower lofted vestry building made of whitewashed rubble stone, which has a single first-floor window and two boarded doors below with brick heads.
The interior of the chapel has been stripped out since 2000. Originally, it did not have galleries, and the pews were aligned towards an end-wall pulpit.
