Description
Bryntail Cottage is a long single-storey cottage built from white-washed rubble stone and topped with a slate roof. It features brick ridge stacks on both the left and right sides. The front of the cottage has a gabled brick porch located to the right of the center, which is open to the front and includes barge boards. Inside the porch is a panelled door. To the left of the porch are two 12-pane horned sash windows, while to the right are two similar hornless sash windows. Further to the left, there is a unit clad in corrugated iron that sits on a stone plinth and shares the same roofline. This unit has a continuous outshut at the front, with an open lean-to porch on the right return that contains another panelled door. The gable end of this section features two 12-pane horned sash windows. At the rear, there is an open lean-to porch supported by timber posts, located to the right of the center, which has a boarded door inside. To the left of this porch are three 2-light wooden casements, with the leftmost window featuring small panes and the two center windows being from the 20th century. There is also a small lean-to structure against the north gable end. The building consists of two sections, each divided into two main rooms with axial chimneys.
