Description

Star House is an early to mid-19th century building. It features colourwashed pebbledash on stone and has a slate roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays, with gable stacks at the north end and the south gable attached to The White House. The central entrance has a four-panelled door, with the upper panels glazed and set in a heavy frame. On the ground floor, there is a sixteen-paned sash window, while the first floor has nine-pane sash windows. At the rear, there is a later lean-to extension that contains the kitchen. Star House is included as a well-preserved example of a substantial early 19th-century building, prominently located within the village.
