Description
Groeswen is a farmhouse built from whitewashed rubble stone, topped with a slate roof that has close eaves and rendered end stacks. The building is two storeys high and features a three-window range, with 9-pane windows and a board door located to the right of the centre, which is not aligned with the window above. The windows have painted cambered brick heads and stone sills, and they include hinged opening top-lights.
On the left end, there is a large lean-to that has a 4-pane small window positioned above a 9-pane window, along with a stone stack on the side wall. The main house has an outshut at the rear, although the rear wall collapsed in 2000. Access to both the outshut and the lean-to is through a porch located in the re-entrant angle. The right end wall features a loft light. The interior has not been inspected.
