Description
The barn and outbuilding range at Pantycolly is a 19th-century structure made of whitewashed rubble stone, topped with corrugated iron roofs. The barn on the right features double centre doors that break the eaves beneath a catslide roof, with two vent loops on each side, the smaller ones located to the right. There is a lower lofted stable next to the barn's lower end, which has a door and a square loft light under the eaves to the left.
Downslope, there is a lofted section with a weatherboarded loft and a door at the extreme right, above a ground floor board door to the right. This area includes a rubble stone pier and a broad cart-entry beneath a long timber lintel. Further along is a lower single-storey outbuilding with a door on the left. At the bottom end, set back, are twin pig-sties with a stone-tiled roof and a rubble stone yard wall in front. The rear corner features 19th-century brick quoins.
Inside, the barn has a five-bay triple-purlin roof supported by tie-beam trusses with raking struts. The original rafters remain in the top two bays, while the lower section has tie-beam and angle strut trusses. The cartshed contains 19th-century pine floor joists.
