Description
The Cartshed and Cidermill at Upper Bettws Farm likely originated in the 17th century, with a 19th-century enlargement that created a taller cartshed. The building is constructed of rubble and features stone tile roofs, which are hipped at the left end of the cartshed and partly replaced with corrugated iron at the rear. The cartshed has three bays and an open timber front, which was previously panelled at the top, with a central doorway at the rear. The cidermill has two bays, a square window, and a broad doorway to the right, along with slit ventilators at the rear.
Inside, the building was once lofted, serving as a granary, and it still retains a circular stone mill that was operated by horse.
