Description

Bridge 121 over the Montgomeryshire Canal was built between 1794 and 1797 as part of the canal's original engineering by John and Thomas Dadford. The bridge features a single arched span made of brick, with stone copings on the parapet. The abutments are slightly curved and end in simple piers. The arch is constructed with voussoirs and has an advanced brick keystone, along with a plain string course that marks the base of the parapet. This bridge is included as part of the original engineering of the canal and is part of a group of canal structures at Belan Locks.
