Description
History: The house forms part of a small settlement developed by the Powis Estate to house its agricultural workers, between c1830 and 1881. This house was one of the first to be built here, c1830-40.
Description: Coursed and squared snecked local sandstone to main front, the rest brick; graded slate roof, with gable end stacks. 2 storeys, 2-unit plan. Central doorway with battened plank door in shallow timber porch with simple architrave, flanked by small-paned iron casement windows of and 3 lights, with flat arched voussoir heads to ground floor.
Part of a group of model cottages forming an excellent example of a small estate settlement which retains much of its original character.
