Description

The Rock is an asymmetrical, two-storey house with an attached cow house, likely dating to the 18th century. The house is built of brick, painted white, with a corrugated metal roof and two brick end stacks. It features dentilled eaves. The front elevation has four-pane casement windows in the upper storey. The lower-storey windows are wider, with segmental brick arches, incorporating a four-pane casement to the left and a six-pane iron frame casement to the right. A gabled porch constructed of corrugated metal sheets shelters a front door with six panels, the upper two panels being frosted glass. A rear outshot has 20th-century windows. The cow house, built of random rubble and painted white with a cement render to the front, has a lower, corrugated metal roof. The upper storey includes an opening leading to a former loft, and there are two ground-level openings. A planked door is located at the rear of the cow house. The property was not accessible for inspection in February 1996.
