Foundry House

Foundry House was possibly built as the foundry manager's house. It is a 2-storey building with a basement and features a 5-window red brick front with blue brick banding and a plinth. The hipped slate roof has bracket eaves and blue brick chimney stacks. The openings are cambered, with blue and red brick gauged voussoirs. The ground floor windows are offset to the right, and there is one blocked opening at the left end. The windows are horned 4-pane sash windows, and there are two half-glazed doors, one located at the extreme right end. Hoods are present over the basement windows. The right end of the building is made of brick. The left end is 3-storey with 2 windows, including the 1-window No 17. The windows of Foundry House, mainly sash, are deeper, with the ground floor featuring a 12-pane casement beside a half-glazed door. No 17 has 6 and 12-pane sashes with a 4-panel door.

Both forecourts have contemporary iron railings that are arched at the top, similar to those on Nos 1 to 16. These railings sweep around the corner and step up to run along the front of Foundry House and Gorn View.
