Description
32 Union Street is a three-storey building that was originally a pair of one-window industrial houses with a four-window weaving loft above. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brick and features a gently pitched slate roof with saw-toothed eaves cornice. There is a lateral chimney located at the rear.
The former weaving lofts have three-light iron casements situated under the eaves, which do not have sills. The first floor is fitted with 16-pane sash windows, although there is a later 19th-century sash window cut into the right side. The ground floor also has 16-pane sashes, but the lower glazing bars have been removed on the left side. The windows have plain reveals, with stone sills and lintels.
On the right side, there is a blocked door, while a modern door is located to the left, with brace plates above it. A tunnel passage on the extreme right provided access to Flag Court.
