Barn and cart shed at Careg-yn-fol

The barn and cart shed at Careg-yn-fol is a structure built of rubble stone with a slate roof, located at the southwest corner of the house. It features a lower cart shed added as an outshut against the opposite gable end. On the east side, facing the former farmyard, there is a doorway to the threshing bay located to the left of center, which has a segmental stone head and a boarded door. To the left of this doorway is a ventilation strip, and to the right is an inserted window with a blue-brick head and sill. To the right of center, there is a stone-segmental headed doorway leading to a narrow through passage, followed by another similar doorway that leads to the cart shed.

On the left gable end, the lower added cart shed includes an outshut, likely a pen for calves, on the east side, which has a stable door. On the west side of the cart shed, there is a full-height opening with later boarded doors. The rear of the barn features a full-height doorway with boarded doors leading to the threshing bay, flanked by ventilation strips. To the left of center is the doorway to the through passage, followed by two wide doorways under a later wooden lintel, with boarded loft openings above.

The barn is supported by a king-post roof with raking struts.
