Description
17 Salop Road is a two-storey building featuring Flemish bond brickwork and a slate roof. It consists of three dwellings arranged asymmetrically in a three-window range, with a double pile plan. The paired doorways, which were added during conversion, lead to Nos 16 and 17, and are flanked by a single window on each side. No 18 has an entrance on the right, likely original, with a window to the left. The upper windows align with those below, and all openings have round arched brick heads. No 18 features sash windows with radial glazing, which may be original, while Nos 16 and 17 have casement windows with transoms. The doors are boarded, with No 16 having renewed doors, and all have plain fanlights. Oculi are located in the upper storey above the outermost entrances, with a datestone above the right entrance. The building has end and axial stacks.
The front gardens are enclosed by cast iron spearhead railings on a chamfered stone plinth wall, which includes three gates.
