Description
Bridge Cottages is a Grade II listed building that features a timber-framed structure with square panels, brick panel infill, and a slate roof. The building has brick gable-end stacks positioned axially on the east and south wings, as well as a side wall stack on the west wing, which is a later addition made of rubble. The original design of the building appears to have been an L-plan, but the northern range was later extended to the west, creating the current T-plan layout.
The building has one and a half storeys. The south wing includes a doorway located near its angle with the east range, accompanied by an inserted two-light casement window. There is also a gabled dormer in the roof featuring heavy latticed glazing bars. The east wing has a doorway on the right side of its south elevation, with an inserted three-light casement window next to it. Additionally, a smaller window has been inserted at the angle with the south range, replacing an earlier doorway. There is a later outshut at the junction of the south and west wings.
On the north elevation, there is a doorway to the right and two-light casement windows with heavy latticed panes, with similar windows positioned beneath the gabled dormers above. There is also a doorway to the left of the west wing, accompanied by similar windows alongside.
