6 Mill Terrace

6 Mill Terrace is part of a group of three cottages built in a simplified Cottage Orne style. Constructed from random squared rubble, the cottages feature slate roofs with red tile cresting and axial stacks at both the front and rear. The symmetrical design includes advanced outer gables. Cottages 4 and 6 have side entrances, while Cottage 5 has a plank door with strap hinges located to the right of a narrow central bay. To the left of this doorway is a three-light mullioned and transomed window, with a single light transomed window in a gabled dormer above. Each outer gable, which is roofed separately from the main ridge line, has a two-light mullioned and transomed window on the ground floor and a single light transomed window above. All windows are fitted with latticed glazing. The gable returns feature doorways with heavy stone architraves and lean-to canopy porches, with similar windows alongside. The gables are adorned with scalloped barge boards.
