Description

The entrance gates to the park are made of cast and wrought iron and date from the early 20th century. The main gates feature gables with a lock bar, inset scroll-work panels, and curved scrolled heads, which are flanked by side gates that share similar detailing. Wrought iron wreaths, which commemorate the dates of both World Wars, are attached to the main gates. These wreaths were renewed to their original designs in 1995, with the addition of names from World War II. The gates are supported by hollow cast piers adorned with scroll-work panels and flat finials. On either side, there are quadrant railings that also feature spear head finials, terminating in stone piers.
