Description

The garden entrance gates at Hinwick Hall, dating from the 18th century, are made of wrought iron and feature supporting pilasters and side screens. The central gate is adorned with scrollwork and an overthrow decorated with waterleaves and flat nibs. The side gates have plain vertical bars with ribbon end scrolls at both the top and bottom, and bifurcated scrollwork patterns above. The pierced pilasters include a cornice and additional scrollwork. The lower side screens consist of plain verticals topped with simple scrollwork, and small side pilasters are finished with scrollwork finials.
