Description
The Castle Mill Bridge is a single-span bridge constructed of rubble stone, dating to an unknown period. It features a high, semi-circular arch formed of stone voussoirs, protected by a dripmould. A wide string course of dressed stone runs along the bridge, leading to rubble parapets that are topped with flat copings of pecked stone. The bridge deck is slightly humped and splayed towards its ends, connecting to square end piers that are integrated with the parapets.
