Description

Caeau Weir is a structure featuring stepped stonework that has a slight curve in its design. It is flanked by abutment walls made of coursed and squared stone on either side. To the south, a blue brick retaining wall connects the weir to Caeau Bridge. At the top of the weir, there is a sluice gate that directed water into a leat, which was used to supply the ironworks and later the corn mill.
