Description

The kilns at Wood Bank are a pair of structures, with one being a circular kiln that is mostly hidden by the canal bank, leaving only the portal visible. This kiln is well-constructed in a bee-hive shape, circular in plan, and resembles the size and shape of a pig-sty found in South Wales. It is made of stone and features a stone-flagged floor. Next to it is a traditional stone-faced kiln, which is likely of a later date, but its portal is blocked and the kiln itself was not accessible for inspection.
